Welcome to The University of Bradford Equestrian Team

Would you like to be part of a fun and friendly club, have you always wanted to give horse riding a go, or already love it? Then come and join us! 

 

We love to welcome new members, whether you want to try something completely new, develop current skills, or compete within BUCS. We cater for all abilities with a wide range of horses and BHS qualified instructors. Each rider is placed in a lesson to suit their needs and abilities so that they can progress on a weekly basis.

As well as riding weekly at our local yard, we also plan annual trekking trips and undertake many club events. We compete within the BUCS league at both the individual and team level in the dressage and showjumping disciplines. Competitions are  challenging but most importantly they are very rewarding and fun!  Teams of four compete  with the possibility of qualifying for regional and national competitions. Team selections will be held during the first few weeks of term.

After an afternoon of riding we enjoy free food put on by the University of Bradford Bars, where we also hold  our socials every Wednesday night. After social we usually join up with other sports  clubs for a night out in town. Our socials are always very friendly, fun, welcoming and a brilliant way to make new and lasting friendships! The social aspect of  the equestrian team also extends to multiple club meals and outings throughout the year, along with the annual sports awards where we’ve won various awards for our committed members.
